The parat is the wide, shallow wooden bowl once used for kneading dough, and each of these vintage pieces was carved by hand from a single piece of teak. Heavy, smooth from years of use, and gorgeous on a kitchen island with a heap of lemons or nothing at all. Expect plenty of timeworn character, and no two are exactly the same shape.
